2. Make students pay attention to the sentence structure and learn something about Imperatives.

1. Read the passage and know more about energy.

Remind them of the importance of energy use and supply.

2. Have a discussion and learn the v-ing form together.

1) Read, analyze the sentences.

2) Have a discussion and solve the questions in groups.

The emphasize should be put on the function of v-ing form and the meanings of it.

3) Practice the important language points and complete more sentences with the v-ing form.

3. Help the students to finish writing the letter.
