Reading Advertising
= 1 \* ROMAN I The?analysis?of?the?teaching?material and students (教材和学生分析)
1.The?analysis?of?the?teaching?material(教材分析)
It is a reading passage. It plays a very important part in the English teaching of this unit. It carries the most important language and cultural information and the teacher should focus on this part. The reading includes the definition and function of ads, the ways to advertise as well as how to understand ads properly.
2.The?analysis?of students.(学生分析)
The students have a strong desire to go to college and they are familiar with the topic of ads. They prefer solving the problems, communicating with friends and expressing their feelings. It is good for teaching. But some of them lack basic knowledge and learning ability. Their English is so poor that they nearly lose hope for English. We can’t complete the teaching task successfully if we don’t understand the students accurately.
= 2 \* ROMAN II Teaching?Aims (教学目标)(According to my understanding of the material and students, I establish the following teaching aims)
1.Knowledge Aim(知识目标)
To get the students understand the main idea of the text: The definition and function of the ads, the ways to advertise as well as how to understand ads properly.
2.Ability Aim(能力目标)
1)Develop the student’s reading ability. Get information of the reading by speed-reading and intensive- reading and retell the text.
2) Learn the method of independent learning. Develop the ability of searching for the specific information.
3.Emotional?Aim(德育目标)
1) Train the students’ spirit of cooperation and sense of exploration. 培养学生合作精神和探究意识。
2) Through the learning, students can understand ads objectively and have the sense of social responsibility. 通过学习广告的知识,正确认识广告并增强学生的社会责任感。
= 3 \* ROMAN III Teaching?important?points and difficult points(教学重点和难点)
English is social and practical. According to my understanding of the material and students, I establish the following Teaching?important?points and difficult points.
1.Teaching?important?points(教学重点)
Students finish speed-reading in limited time and understand the text absolutely after intensive-reading. 2.Teaching difficult points(教学难点)
1)Retell the reading.
2)Complete all the teaching aims perfectly, especially combine the skills training and moral education as a whole.
= 4 \* ROMAN IV Teaching Method
My Teaching methods are based on the characteristics of vocational high school students and vocational high school English teaching.
1. (说教法)About teaching, I take “Communicative” Approach(交际教学法), “Task-based” language teaching (任务教学法) and Activity-based teaching.
2. (说学法)About learning, by activities in groups, students learn English in an active, interesting mood. They study independently to get interest, knowledge and ability from the teacher and partners.
