Step 1 Warming up and lead-in
Present a song “a place to go for the coming National Day”. Ask ss where they will go for the National day.
2: Pre-writing
1. Free talk something about a place where he/she will go for the coming National day , then Teacher introduce Hongkong where teacher will go using useful sentences. .
2.Group work
Time for discussion. Make a list of aspects and useful sentences teacher has introduced Hongkong.
3. Ss learn useful expressions to describe size, area, location, weather, history , food, places of interests and so on.

Step 3: While-writing
1. Drafting: Give students 10 minutes to writes a draft about “ a place you will go for the National day” according to the notes.
