Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 : Read the title and passage again to identify the style and main idea. (2 mins)
This period, we focus on the improvement of your summary. Since you have read the passage, could you tell the main idea? Read the title and go through the passage. / what’s the meaning of digital age? Now with the help of technology we live in the world where we surf the internet and use the mobile phones. What is learning by rote? The write mentioned it in the first para, that is memory in a mechanical way.
Step 2: Underline the main points of each paragraph. (3 mins)
Now read each paragraph carefully and underline the main points.

When we use ….but….., we usually emphasize “but”. For example, you are hard working but you fail to pass the exam. It is sunny but it’s very cold.
Para 3: essential means necessary or important. Foundation elements means basic knowledge.
Para 4: mobile learning refers to learning on the internet or on the smartphones or ipad. This style of learning refers to rote learning. It refers to rote learning. Pay attention to the structure “ while…. Sth …..” 逻辑关系是转折.
