1. Shelly
Percy Bysshe Shelly is an English romantic poet. His poems have full imaginations and wide themes. During his short life, he produced many revolutionary works of literature that opposed feudal autocracy, combated despotic rule, attacked social malpractice and advocated democracy, liberty, equality, fraternity. Aside from this, he wrote a host of graceful lyric poetry. These lyric poems are filled with magnificent color, moving rhyme and profound philosophy. “Ode to the west wind” is the famous lyric poetry of Shelly.
2. Keats
John Keats is what’s perhaps the most famous, or even “archetypal,” about him is of course the image of a hypersensitive, extraordinarily gifted poet not (yet) appreciated by the public (& tortured by silly critics), dying young because of illness (tuberculosis in his case; which might also be taken as spiritual illness since he’s, supposedly, ill treated by hostile critics) — to our deep regret [in a sense, dying young is “Romantic” because the youthful vitality manifested in the short but impressive creative period will become all the more precious, and the sense of loss, the unfortunate fate of a rare genius only reinforces our love for him; he and his poetry will live on, forever young.]
