选修十一《Module 2 The Long Walk to Freedom Reading and grammar》优秀教案
本班学生对英语持有较浓厚的兴趣,在英语课堂上比较活跃,对新鲜事物有较强的好奇心,但他们英语基础不扎实,有两极分化的趋势。因此,在本课教学过程中,要注重教学方法的灵活性,通过任务型教学法,情景交际法等,激发学生学习的兴趣,并且以小组合作、小组竞赛的方式实现以优带差的目标,结合及时的评价机制进行鼓励,让学生易于接受,乐于接受。
学生已在本模块Unit 1中学习了关于老舍茶馆的背景知识和词汇,有了一定的英语基础知识和听说能力,正逐渐向读、写过渡,为本课的学习打下了基础。
三、教学目标
1. Knowledge aims:
(1) Words & expressions: act, show, common, twentieth, describe, society, college, novel, name, if, magic
(2) Key sentences:
The play shows the lives of common people in China ...
It tells us the story of Wang Lifa ...
It describes the changes in Chinese society over fifty years.
2. Skill aims:
(1) To get some reading skills such as predicting and finding out the topic sentences
(1) To be able to retell the passage with the timeline and the mind map
(2) To be able to talk about favorite films by using the key structures in the passage
3. Emotion aims:
(1) Know about Lao She, his play Teahouse and Lao She Teahouse
(2) Know about Chinese traditional culture such as Beijing opera
(3) Try to inherit and spread Chinese traditional culture
四、教学重难点
教学重点:通过课文学习单词、短语,并通过阅读了解老舍、茶馆及戏剧的相关内容,从中获取略读、抓住故事的要素等阅读技巧。
教学难点:模仿第一段the story of Teahouse,对最喜欢的戏剧或电影进行口头描述,为第二课时的写作作好铺垫。
