Teaching aims:
After learning the word power, the students will be able to:
1. know more about university courses and the different titles and positions at university;
2. know more about the abbreviations related to university degrees;
3. use the new words and phrases they have learned to write a report.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead in
What subject are you learning now?
(Chinese, Maths, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Politics, History, Geography …)
What subject are you particularly interested in? Why?
Can you think of more subjects that you can learn in university?

通过问学生他们现在所有的科目让学生回顾已学词汇, 从低难度出发,增强学生的自信心。同时,让学生自由表达自己感兴趣的学科来调动学生的学习热情。通过让学生对大学学科的猜想,了解学生对大学学科的掌握情况, 并且很自然地过渡到本节课的其中一个主题——大学课程的分类。

1. Ask students to read part A and answer the questions.
(1) If you are interested in business courses, which courses can you study?

(2) What courses are useful for you if you want to work in factories?
