T: we have already learned the first reading passage in this unit, so we know they are two rich brothers and they made a bet on whether a man can live in Britain for one month with a million pound bank note.
And he is the hero of this story, Henry Adams. He is a penniless American young man, who landed in England by accident.
Then the rich brothers give the money to Henry.
