Step 1 Pre-reading

Free talk

T:Boys and girls, how do you come to school every morning?

S1: I come to school by car.

S2: I come to school by e-bike with my mother.

...

T: Wow, the same with me! Can you guess how do I come to school?

S: By e-bike.

T: Yes, so clever. On the busy road, I can see many cars and buses, right?

I must follow some rules, right?

S: Right!

T: OK! Today let’s learn Unit4 Road safety.

2. 出现3幅交通图,让学生明白这些行为是不对的,并问:

How can we stay safe on the road?

To keep safe, we must follow some rule.(提示3个规则)

师问 What can you see on the picture?

(PPT呈现道路,教生词:traffic lights, green man, red man, zebra crossing, pavement)

Step 2 While-reading (Story time)

1. T: Let’s watch the cartoon, please try to answer “How can we stay safe on the road?”

2. 学习课文第一部分

T: How can we cross the roads safely? Let’s learn from the story time.

(2) Try to answer with “first …, then …”
