四、Teaching procedures 教学过程

Step 1 Revision

1. Free talk

Talk about some signs on the road. (呈现关于交通的图片)

T: This picture is about road traffic

How do you go to school everyday ?

When you are on the road, what can you see?

2. Review Story time

T: What have we learned in last lesson?

S: In last lesson, we have learned road safety. There are many busy roads in our city. To keep safe, we should follow the rules. For example, we should cross them safely.

(讲解:cross them safely/ To keep safe/Road safety这三个词组中,safely 为副词,意为“安全地”,safe为形容词,意为“安全的”,safety为名词,意为“安全”。)

T: What are the rules? How can we cross the roads safely?

(用图片复习巩固Story time,强化Learning tip)

S: Rule 1—First, we must look for the zebra crossing, and then we must look at the traffic lights.

T: Sometimes we cannot find a zebra crossing. How can we cross the road then?

S: Rule 2—We can wait on the pavement and look out for the cars and bikes.

We must look left, then right and then left again.

We can also cross the road with other people.

T: What must you not do on the road?

S: We mustn’t play or run on the road. It’s not safe.

3. Judge and say

T: You have a good memory, and you know the traffic rules well. But here are some people, do they know the traffic rules well?

What are they doing?

Are they right? If they are wrong, tell me why?
