⒈ sentence patterns:

The hens are bigger than the mice.

The geese are bigger than the hens.

The geese are the biggest of all.

⒉ Grammar on comparative and superlative degrees of adjective

1. 一般在词尾直接加er/est: tall—taller—tallest

2. 以e 结尾的单词去e加er/est: wide—wider—widest

3. 以辅音字母加y结尾的单词,把y改成i, 再加 er/est : busy—busier—busiest

4.以重读闭音节结尾,且末尾只有一个辅音字母的单

词,双写末尾的辅音字母,再加er/est :

big—bigger—biggest , (fat, thin, red, hot)

⑴ listening practice to get main ideas of listening materials and complete the drills in textbook

⑵ Question–and–answer activity to train students the English thought patterns.

⑶ Making dialogues in pairs freely to practice student’s spoken English.

Step 1 Greeting (1min)

Hello, Everybody! How are you doing today?

Step 2 Leading–in by asking some questions (2mins)

⑴ Have you ever been to a farm? Are you familiar with some animals on the farm? What are they?

⑵ What kind of animals do you like? Can you describe it for us?

Step3 learn the vocabulary (5 minutes)

Countryside, hen, sheep, geese, goose, mouse, mice

Step4 do listening activity (10 minutes)
