Step 1. Free talk and revision

1.Greetings :

T: What day is it today?

Ss: It’s Friday.

T: The weekend is coming, what are you going to do tomorrow?

Ss: I’m going to…

T: Are you going to …?

2.Let’s review.

(1) T: From the story we know Children’s Day is coming, the children are going to have a party at Mike’s house. Can you retell the story according to your mind-maps?

选几名学生根据家庭作业绘制的思维导图复述课文。

(2) T: Let’s recite it together.

根据课件提示,全班一起复述课文,复习巩固一般将来时的用法。

Step 2. Culture time

1.Discuss and say

T: In the story, all the children take gifts to the party. In China, when you go to a party, what should you do?

Ss: We should take some gifts(Teach: gift). We should go to the party early or on time.

T: Good! Look at the women, are they Chinese? What are they doing? What’s in their hands?

Ss talks: When you go to a Western party, what should you do?

Show the picture on page 53, listen to it, and read and answer.( Teach: arrive, a few minutes late )

Show some other rules: The manners in the party

Step3. Cartoon time

Bobby’s class is also going to have a party soon.

1.Guess:What are they going to do at the party?
