Interpreting a poem
一、教学目标
By the end of this section, students will be able to:
1. interpret the poem and identify the beauty of the language used in it;
2. speak out the structure and the language used in a poetry review;
3. write a review using correct structure and language.
二、教学重难点
1. To effectively integrate and analyse all materials;
2. To practise one’s writing skills in contexts;
3. To enhance one’s abilities of self-review and peer review.

1. What message do you think the poem is trying to get across to readers?

Group Work Writing Step 2 The teacher has students work in groups to learn about a poetry review by answering the following questions.
1. What is a poetry review?
2. What is the structure of a poetry review?
3. What expressions can be used in a poetry review? 检测课前预习情况,学习诗歌评论的文体结构、语言特征以及写作的具体步骤,培养学生的语篇意识和能力,为写作任务做好准备。 4’
