In the reading part , the students will read an?argumentative?essay about the poem called The Road Not Taken. The text mainly discusses its content and practical significance, which will enhance students’ awareness of bravely facing their future and wisely making decisions whatever choices and chances they may meet with in the future.
In the part of writing, the students are expected to learn how to write an application letter with the writing help. A sample writing will show the students how to write an application letter, which mainly includes the writing purpose, personal working experiences and personal relevant qualifications.

1. Guide the students to understand the poem The Road Not Taken and master the characteristics of the English poem so that students can improve the appreciation of poetry.
2. Lead the students to analyze the structure and grasp the theme of the argumentative essay about the poem by Robert Frost, which helps students raise the awareness of and wisely making decisions whatever choices and chances they may meet with in the future.
3. Help the students learn how to write an application letter according to the job advertisement.
