Teaching procedures 教学过程

Step 1 Warm-up

T: Let’s have a brainstorming game.

When you see the interesting place, speak it out loudly.

Step 2 Culture time

T: I want to visit these places. And I want to see the world. (课件出示世界地图)

First, I want to go to Australia. Can you find it?

S1: (指出澳大利亚在地图上的位置)

T: Next, I will go to the UK. Who can find it?

S2: (指出美国在地图上的位置)

T: Then, I’ll go to the US.

S3: (指出美国在地图上的位置)

T: At last, I’ll go to Canada.

S4: (指出加拿大在地图上的位置)

T: (教读单词Canada) Look at their National flags.

T: There are many interesting places in these countries. What will you find? Let’s see some pictures. (教授Uluru, the Grand Canyon, Buckingham Palace, Niagara Falls)

T: In which country can you find these interesting places? Let’s work in pairs and match them.

T: Let’s try to say with “You’ll find ______________ in ___________.”

S: You’ll find Uluru in Australia.

You’ll find Niagara Falls in Canada.

You’ll find the Grand Canyon in the US.

You’ll find Buckingham Palace in the UK.

Step 3 Cartoon time

1. T: Where can you find out about these kinds of interesting places?

S: On the Internet./In the book./On TV.
