1、（看活动一插图）Who are they？（Daming and Sam）
2、Watch a video： What do they see？（课件出示图片：A狗 B猪） 学生选择后，教学单词pig and pigs.
3、Why do Daming and Sam running away？学生可用汉语回答。
4、Listen and repeat activity 1.
二、学习课文
（一）整体感知
1、（活动2第一幅图）Where are they now？
选择A.School B.Zoo C.Farm
2、教学单词：farm 点读笔点读，自然拼读fff fff ar ar ar a:a:a: mmm mmm
（出示3幅农场图，加深对农场的理解）
3、出示评价图（两幅农场图）：If you do good job，you get an animal。
4、Let’s go to farm，what do they see on the farm？（指大屏幕）
We will talk about animals on the farm，we will learn M5U1 They are cows.
5、Watch the video。CD-ROM
6、（课件出示）Answer the question：Five pictures: cows pigs dogs ducks chickens cats （指生选出正确图片）
（二）教学单词
1、（课件出示一头奶牛）问：What is this？学习单词 “cow” 点读笔点读，拼读ccc kkk owow au au au 再出示4头牛，学习复数： cows one by one 贴板书
2、（课件出示一只鸭子）学习单词 “duck” 点读笔领读，拼读 ddd ddd uuu ＾＾＾ ckckck kkk 再出示5只鸭子 学习复数 ducks two by two 贴板书
3、（课件出示一只鸡）学习单词 “ chicken” 点读笔领读，拼读：chchch tftftf 再出示2只鸡，学习复数，chickens 单词卡向上，大声读，单词卡向下，小声读。
（三）探究重点句型
1、跟点读笔读课文，想：What do they say？（课件出示问题：图2和图3分别有2个话泡）
2、Answer the question ：What does Sam say？What does grandpa say？学生回答：What are they？They are cows. 课件出示答案，教师板书。 点读笔领读这两句。图3同上。
3、（出示第5幅图）（圈出鸡）问：What are they？学生回答：They are chickens. （一个实物鸡蛋）：What is this？教学单词：egg 点读笔领读 拼读：eee eee ggg ggg How many eggs ？Let’s count，课件边展示，边听课文录音。Twelve eggs 教复数 eggs 对学生进行德育渗透：Eggs are healthy for us，so we can say thank you chickens。We have to learn to be thankful。
4、Let’s chant.学生模仿第一句补全chant.
