Fourth, teaching methods

In this lesson, I will use communicative approach, task-based teaching approach. I think if I want to improve their listening, speaking, reading, I should give them enough chances to practice. I will use pair work, group work to let the Ss take an active part in all kinds of activities. That is learning by doing , learning by using. Make the Ss the real master in class, while I act as the director.

Fifth, learning methods

They 're self-learning, pair work, group work.

Sixth, teaching aids

They're multimedia, PPT and so on.

Seventh, teaching procedure(and this is also the most important part)

step1 warming up and leading in

Ss sing a song together, and one student share an illustrated book, they're all related to this lesson, which means they are all about farm animals.

Then I'll play the CD-ROM, and ask the Ss; "Why the pigs are angry?" And let the students find the new words by themselves.

purpose: give them an environment of learning English, arouse the Ss' interests in learning, make preparations for the following learning. The questions are related to the topic of this lesson, so the students can grasp it easily by answering, and it's easy for us to lead in the new topic.

step 2 presentation

Firstly, I will play the CD-ROM, and ask Ss questions according to each picture. Through answering the questions, Ss can get a general idea of the text, Then I will ask Ss to find the new words by themselves, and let them teach the new words.

Secondly, read the passages in various ways, such as listening and repeat, read freely and loudly, read in roles . I will pay attention to their pronunciation and imitation. Only by reading the text a lot, can the Ss understand the text and use the sentence pattern correctly. Also, cultivate Ss' basic abilities of listening and speaking.

step 3 practice

I will present some pictures and sound on the screen, and ask Ss to guess "What are they? " ,then I will ask Ss come to the blackboard to imitate some animals, and other Ss to guess. In this way, I create a real situation to let Ss use the target language. What's more, Ss will come to the blackboard to share their pictures, which are drawn by themselves before this class. Meanwhile, I will give them some instructions around the class. Proper competition can arouse Ss' interest. pair cooperation can develop their team spirit.

step 4 production

In this step, we will do the exercise book together, and ask Ss to use the sentence pattern "What are they? They're..." we have input and in-taken a lot,so it's time to output.

step 5 conclusion and homework

let the Ss summarize the key points we learnt by using the mind map which is drawn on the blackboard. In this way, Ss can cultivate their ability of summarize and expand their mode of thinking. For the homework, I will give them two different levels of exercises, they can choose according to their own level.

Eighth, blackboard design

In the middle, I will draw a farm, then put some animals on it , then it will look like a mind map which is about farm animals. On the left, I'll write down the sentence pattern in order to let the Ss grasp the usage of it . On the right, I'll divide the Ss into 4 groups, and give them a "Peppa pig", if they answer the questions correctly. Ss can refer to the blackboard at any time during the class. At the same time, they can sum up what they have learned by themselves according to the blackboard.
