Teaching steps:
Step1 Organization
1. Read the weekly sentence.
2. Sing the song .
3. Greet the students and introduce myself.
Step 2 Warming up
Review the words“chicken,duck and cow.”
Devide the Ss into 3 groups.
Step 3 Lead-in and Presentation
1. Review mouth,nose then ask the Ss to“guess whose nose is this? and what’s this?”to led in animals:pig,dog and cat.
2. Show the picture of tiger and ask “Is this a cat? Then teach “tiger”
3. Show the picture of elephant and ask “What’s this?” Then teach “elephant”.
4. Take out the bag in which there is a snake and ask the Ss to touch and guess“What is it?”Then teach the new word “snake”.
5. Take out the bag in which there is a giraffe and ask the Ss to have a quick look and guess“What is it?” Then teach the new word “giraffe”.
Step 4. What’s missing
Ask the Ss to say the animals then watch and find what is missing.
Step 5.Presentation and practice
Show some pictures of animals Then ask them “How many?” and “What are they?”
Teach them to read the sentence“What are they?”Then help them to answer“They are elephants.Read the conversation together.

Show some pictures about people and animals.Tell the Ss that people love animals because animals can help people.They are our friends.So we should love animals. We should protect them.
