Step 1

Introducing

(3 mins)

1. Lead in with a photo show related to the topic.

2. Divide Ss into three groups.

语言要清晰简练,导入新颖、快捷有效。

通过师生认识自然导出与本课有关的话题,激发学生的学习兴趣。

Step 2

Understanding

(20 mins)

1. Get Ss to touch a dark box and imagine: “What do you imagine?”

2. Get Ss to make a quick response with “I think so/ I don’t think so” to echo the prediction above.

3. Open the box, present the topic and brainstorm anything around the topic “food”.

4. Ask students “what can food do for us?” to predict the relation between food and children.

5. Have Ss predict the picture on P55 to understand the pattern further, showing a short video.

6. Show a flash and ask students to be familiar with food preparation.
