Step 2.Guidance Learning

Let students listen to 1a and read it. Let students find out the useful expressions and the teacher adds more and explains them.

For example:

1. What seems to be the problem ?

2. She is crying in the bathroom because she did badly in the English exam.

Step 3. Consolidation-Discussion guilding

1 .Let students read 1a again and find out the adverbial clauses of reason with “because” and then sum up together .

2. Let students finish 1b according to 1a.

Step 4.Showing

1. Let students report 1b.

2. Show the pictures in 2. Let students make dialogs, using “How…?”, ”Why…?” and “Because…” after the example.

For example :

S1: How does the girl feel?

S2: She feels lonely.

S1: Why does she feel lonely?

S2: Because she has no friends.

Step 5 Check

汉译英:

Our teachers are very strict with us. It’s good for us

2.她觉得很孤独寂寞是因为她太文静腼腆,又没什么朋友。( shy )

She feels lonely because she is very quiet and shy

3.- 我很担心明天的数学考试。( be worried )

- 别紧张!你会考得好的。

I’m worried about the math exam tomorrow.
