2.语言知识
(1)功能:描述某一城市在一定范围内的方位。
(2)语法:全体学生能根据地图上的位置,运用“... is in the east/west/south/north of... .”来描述某一城市在一定范围内的方位。
(3)词汇:全体学生能听懂并掌握speak, best, south, north, rest, country, capital, maybe的含义。
(4)语音:全体学生能感知学习“best, west”中“e”的读音; “north, south”中字母组合“th”的读音,“speak”中字母组合“ea”的读音。
3. 情感态度:通过对课文的学习和运用“... is in the east/west/south/north... .” 句型来描述某一城市在范围内所处的方位,让学生了解美国城市,加强学生跨文化交际意识。

1. 重点:
(1) 理解掌握单词best, south, north, rest, country, capital, speak, maybe
(2) 运用“... is in the east/west/south/north of... .”对某一城市进行在一定范围内方位的表达。
难点:
(1) 课文中提及的三个美国城市Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC.的正确发音
(2) 能够正确运用“... is in the east/west/south/north of... .”来描述城市在一定范围内的地理位置。

(一)复习导入Warm-up and lead-in( 2分钟)
操作方式:1. Greet to the students .
T: Hello, children. Welcome to the English class. Are you happy today ?
Ss: Yes !
