Step 1 Warming up
Have you prepared lessons before our class? Really? OK, Let’s check. Please read the text as quickly as you can. Three minutes.(计时,快速读课文,用以检查学生预习情况,对课文有初步认知。)
OK, I think you’re very good. Can you tell me what’s the text about?
板书 “Dogs”. Well, what are the dogs like?(学生回答:They are lovely/ cute/ clever…)
Let’s chant.
Step 2 Presentation and practice
Play the flash A1, The students follow it.
Question: What are the dogs like? (填空)
讲解 do a lot 很多 v. + a lot 举例:practice a lot , laugh a lot…

Questions: What’s the TV show about? (It’s about special dogs. 板书)
What can the special dogs do?( They can help blind people. 讲解blind=can’t see,blind find kind mind 总结发音 及时板书)
Blind people, they can’t see. They need a special dog. The special dogs are seeing-eye dogs (板书)。
Seeing-eye dogs can help blind people. They are useful and clever. Amy has got a dog, too. Its name is Fifi, Is Fifi a seeing-eye dog? What can Fifi do? What can’t Fifi do? Please read in groups. Find the answers and write on the paper.(小组合作完成,一名同学负责记录,教师巡视,组内派代表板书)

Step 3 Consolidation and extension
Now look at the blackboard. There is a TV show about special dogs. In the UK, many blind people have special dogs. They can help blind people. They are seeing-eye dogs. They are very clever. Fifi is Amy’s dog. He can’t help blind people. He can play with people. He is a pet dog. He is cute. Now please retell like this. Practise in group.

Now let’s see more animals.(书上练习4内容) Are they special? What can they do? Let’s see. Look, a panda, What’s he doing? He’s riding a bike. Can he ride a bike? Yes, he can. “This panda can ride a bike.”(课件演示例句) Here is a dog. He’s reading a book. Can he read? No, “This dog can’t read.”(课件演示例句) What about other animals? Now practise in groups, (汇报)write your sentences on your books, group leader please.

Today we learnt something about the dogs. The dogs are our friends. We love dogs. We love animals. If you’re a presenter, please talk about “your favourite dog” You can talk like this.(出示关于各类狗的表格,学生根据提供的信息练习口头作文)
