I. Warmer and leading in.

T: Yesterday, I was happy. Do you know why?

T:But today, I’m not happy. What’s the matter?

Show some faces and adj. about teacher’s feeling today.

Teacher show the words about feelings in PPT.

Match the words and sentences about feeling words.

Let students make faces in front of the classroom. Let students guess with sentence: Is he/she…? Are you…?

II.Teaching activities:

T: Today, our friend Lingling isn’t happy, too. What’s the matter? Listen A2 and answer.

After listening the dialogue, teacher white one the blackboard-thinking.

Play the tape again. Let Ss listen and repeat the first two paragraphs.

Ask and write the three questions on the blackboard. ‘Are you sad/angry/bored?’

T: What’s Lingling thinking about? Let Ss word in groups, read the last two paragraphs and answer the question. Then find the difficult words or phrases .

Check the answer, write on the blackboard and translate the difficult words and phrases.

Repeat the last two paragraphs.

Let Ss make dialogue with partners and try to act out.

III. Exercise.

Retell the text. Teacher set an example first. Let Ss exercise for 1 minute.

Fill in the blanks. Let Ss write on their paper.

IV. Further development.

T: There’s a lovely dog, he isn’t happy today. What’s the matter? Listen A1.

T: This special dog can speak English. What does he speak to the boy? Let Ss read a dialogue.
