CD-ROM, words cards, slides.

Teaching procedure:

Step 1 Warm-up

1. Usual greetings.

2. Brainstorm.

Say as many verbs as possible within 30 seconds. (Play the background music.)

3. Let’s read.

Read the words quickly.

4. Pair-work.

Students ask and answer in pairs.

A: What did you do …?

B: I …

5. Do you know these places?

Sow pictures of different places.

T: Do you want to go to these places?

Step 2 Presentation

Study of paragraph 1.

a. Look and say.

T: This girl went to a new place. And here is her photo. What can you see in the photo?

b. Listen and answer.

Students listen to the CD-ROM and answer two questions.

Who is she?

Where did she go? (Get to know Brighton.)

c. Listen again and find more details.

When did she go there? (Teach and learn: July)

What did she do there?

d. Listen and repeat.

e. Retell Hannah’s trip according to the pictures or the key words on the blackboard.
