Warm-up.
Greetings.
Play a guessing game.
Revision.
Review the form of Present Continous Form: be +V-ing.
Do some practices to consolidate the usage of the tense.
Presentation.
Present a picture of a girl jumping in the rain by ppt, and ask:
What’s the weather like? It’s rainy./ It’s raining.
What is the girl doing? She is jumping in the water.
If the weather is rainy, what should you wear?
Introduce “umbrella, raincoat, rainshoes”.
Have students open their books and read the text by themselves, then try to answer questions on PPT.
Have Ss answer questions.
Play the version, have students follow to read one sentence after another.
Repeat to read once again. Correct the pronunciations of words.
Have Ss read together.
Explain the differences between “arrive in” and “arrive at”.
Practice and consolidation.
Have students read the text by themselves again, then finish the practice about the text.
