Step Ⅰ Warm-up

Greetings.

Play a game. Find the different words. Review the words : doll、kite、plane.

Make sentences with: I have a/an … or I have a new…

Step Ⅱ Presentation

Show a balloon. Ask the students: What colour is it? and write the sentence on the blackboard. The students read the sentence one by one.

Teach the word: red. Write on the blackboard. Letter e pronounces / e /. Ask the students try to read the words: egg、leg、egg.

Show some pictures and then ask the students to read: a red balloon, a red car, a red flag.

Teach the word: blue/u:/. Write on the blackboard. Try to read the words: glue、clue、Sue.

Show some pictures ask the students to read: a blue plane, a blue bag, a blue pen.

Show a colour pencil and then ask what colour is it? Answer the question with red and blue.

Show some other pictures. Ask the students try to read: a ruler and a book, a pencil-box and a sharpener, Xi Yangyang and Hui Tailang.

Let’s play. Let’s mix the colours together. red+blue=? red+yellow=?

Red and blue is purple. Red and yellow is orange.

Step Ⅲ Practice

Let’s play a game. Ask the students guess where the presents are. Under the red balloon or blue balloon? Choose one.

Watch the video. Listen and follow it.

Act the dialogue.

Step Ⅳ Production

Ask the students some questions. What do you have? What colour is it?

Try to make dialogues with the questions.

Act the dialogue.
