Step2: Presentation
1. Teacher guides students to play a game: Fishing Game.
2. Teacher invites a student to “catch” a red fish. The fish introduces his father and mother to the students. And sing a song: Father and mother.
Step3: Practice
Students catch the second fish.
Teacher divides students into four groups. There are four topics:
a. What’s your name?/ How old are you?;
b. What time is it?;
c. What’s in the…;
d. Show me…
Students choose a number and talk about the topic. Then each group gives the class a show.
Students catch the third fish.
Reading time. There is a story. Students look at the story “Me and my family tree.” Then answer the questions about it. “Who are they?” Students answer the questions.
Finish the project: Make your family tree.
Show your family to the class.
4. Students catch the fourth fish: Let’s act!
Students work in groups and finish the dialogue:
Hi…, this is my…and…
Nice to meet you.
Then act it out.
5. Students catch the fifth fish: A treasure box.
The treasure box is opened. There is a map in it.
Students play the board game and answer the different questions.
6. Students catch another fish. Watch a video and work in pairs to practice the dialogue.
7. Teacher gives students a situation: Peter is going to school. His family members ask him some questions in the morning. Students work in groups, do role-play and give the class a show.
Step: 4 Ending
Teacher: Now boys and girls. All of you did a good job. Now that’s all the class today. See you next time. Bye-bye!
