Step 2. Presentation.
Ask the pupils, "What will you be when you grow up?" The teacher should explain to the pupils that it is the same important that all kinds of works.

游戏激发学生学习兴趣。教 学 过 程设计 意图To teach the new words: doctor, nurse and postman. Teacher can act like a patient, point to the stomach and say, "I'm not very well today." Then teacher act like a doctor to sit down on a table and see the patient, say: "Have two pills each time, twice a day. You'll be OK." At the last, teacher ask the pupils, "What am I?" Encourage the pupils to say, "You're a teacher." Repeat the process for "nurse" and "postman".
Play the tape twice. The first time have pupils listen and point to the books. The second time have pupils listen and repeat.
Have pupils practise the dialogue in pairs. Then encourage them to act the dialogue in class.
Have pupils to learn the letters Uu---Zz. Read the letters aloud and have pupils repeat.
Step 3. Practice.
Guessing game. Prepare some job word cards. Let a child choose one card. Encourage him/ her to read the word and do actions. Then let the other pupils guess what job it is according to the actions.板书设计: Unit 1 Lesson 5
