四、教学重难点
重点:
学生能够听、说、认读、写单词wait, take, young, child(children), people,理解单词litter,词组help old people/play on the street/take good care of young children/pick flowers/keep off the grass。
难点:
(1)学生能够理解句子You must wait for the green light. You mustn’t cross the street when the light is red, 并能在真实情境中正确表达社会规则。
(2)学生能能够体验感知字母组合ir在单词中的发音[?]。
五、教学过程
Step 1 Warm-up(情境呈现,以旧引新)
Watch the video of Lesson 17 and ask students to answer the question “What’ s Lesson 17 about?” and lead students to find out the answer “social rules”.
Present the storybook “Seven Little Dwarfs and Social Rules” made by the teacher and ask students to practice the tongue twister on the cover “You must do what you must do. You mustn’t do what you mustn’t do.”.
Step 2 Presentation and Practise (完成任务,操练新知)
Ask one student to read the background of the storybook on Page 1 for the whole class. Then students get to know the names of seven little dwarfs and understand they should help Snow White find out the naughty dwarf who breaks social rules by finishing different tasks.
Task 1:
Look at Page 2 and lead students to say “pick flowers” by
asking “What does the dwarf do?”.
Ask students to circle the social rule for “pick flowers”
in the storybook.
Help students say the social rule “You mustn’t pick
flowers.” by asking “Can you pick flowers?”.
(4)Students can get Clue 1 for finding the naughty dwarf.
Task 2:
Pair work: Students finish “Get the Clue 2”on Page 2 and
“Get the Clue 3” on Page 3 in pair.
Check the answer on Page 2: Ask students to spell “litter”
and read the social rule “You mustn’t litter.”
