Step 1: Warm-up/Revision

Greetings

电话问候：一名同学扮演Kate，教师打电话问候Kate，了解她的病情，并告诉她同学们想去家里探望的消息教师与Kate的对话，承上启下，既延续了本单元第19、20课的情境，又为本课新课呈现的Caring about others情境做了铺垫。此环节既复习了本单元已学的目标语言，又使学生在轻松愉悦的氛围中进入新课学习。

T: This is Miss Sun speaking. May I speak to Kate, please?

Kate: Good morning, Miss Sun. This is Kate speaking

T:What’s wrong with you?

Kate:I have a fever and a headache.

T:You should take some medicine and stay in bed.

Kate: OK. I will.

T:Your classmates will come to see you after school.They will help you with your lessons.

教师将本课时的主题图做到PPT中，或将教学挂图张贴在黑板上，引导学生仔细观察主题图，预测Peter, Kate, Li Yan，Lisa, Gao Wei, Bob在谈什么，并为自己的预测寻找依据。在观看主题图的过程中，穿插让学生们理解“Kate is ill. Her classmates come to see her. They bring her a lot of things. They want to help her with her lessons. Kate feels very happy.”

观看本课教学视频，整体感知文本对话。

再次播放视频，学生们跟读，模仿语音语调。在跟读过程中，理解、表达、运用 How are you feeling today? I feel much better. Here’s a get-well card for you. Here are some kiwi fruit for you. I have some chocolates for you. 初步理解、表达 I’m worried about my lessons. 巩固Don’t worry about your lessons. I’ll help you with your maths/English/Chinese.
