that
连词that：只起连接作用，在从句中不作句子成分，也无词汇意义，在口语中或非正式文体中常被省略。
可跟that从句做宾语的动词有：
say, think, hope, know, see, believe,…?

whether, if引导的宾语从句
if或whether 意为“是否”说明对陈述的事物不明确或不清楚。if或whether引导宾语从句由一般疑问句变化而来。
常用在ask,?wonder,?can (could)?you?tell?me?, don’t (dosen’t) know, not sure等后，二者通常可以互换。
语序必须是陈述语序------“引导词+主语+谓语+其它”
Do you think if it is good for its health?
陈述语序
莉莉问她是否喜欢它。
Lily?asked?if/whether?she?liked?it.
我想知道他是否住在这儿。
I?want?to?know?if?(whether)?he?lives?there.
?他问我是否可以帮助他。

1) Will he help me? I wonder.

注意:在下列情况下一般用whether而不用if.
