原句是陈述句，用that
原句是一般疑问句，用whether/if
原句是特殊疑问句，用特殊疑问词
（what, who, whom, which, whose）或（when, where, how, why）

）如果主句是现在的时态,从句时态不变。
）如果主句是过去的时态，从句要用相应的过去时态。
3. ） 当从句是客观真理 时，用一般现在时。
宾语从句的语序用陈述语序 即主语+谓语+其他

1. I want to know when is your birthday.
2. I want to know when your birthday is.

1．could / would是委婉语气，而不是过去式，因此宾语从句的时态根据实际情况用不同时态。
注意事项
Would you like to know when he will come back ?
2. 如果从句中含有or或or not时，只能
用whether 而不用 if
Do you know whether he is right or not ?
3.有一些特殊疑句里的疑问词既做连接词又做主语，所以这些句子在宾从中语序不用变。
