①当宾语从句是陈述句时,用that 引导(可省略)
I know (that) she is a teacher.
②当宾语从句是一般疑问句、反意疑问句或选择疑问句时,用if/ whether引导,标点取决于主句.
He asks if I am a student.
Could you tell me if it snows in winter in Australia?
③当宾语从句是特殊疑问句时,由连接代词who, what, whom, whose, which和连接副词when, where, why, how引导.标点由主句决定.
Please tell me how you go to school.
He asked where I lived.

2.语序：宾语从句要用陈述语序. Do you know where Tom lives?
3.时态
当主句为一般现在时或祈使句时,宾语从句可根据实际情况用所需要的时态.
I hear Tom has left for Beijing.
I hear Tom left for Beijing yesterday.
I hear Tom will leave for Beijing soon.
当主句是一般过去时,宾语从句须用相应的过去时态.
Kate said she was watching TV this time yesterday.
Kate said she was going to school soon.
Kate said she had seen the film before.

(三) 需注意的问题
1. 如果宾语从句所表达的是客观事实、真理、自然现象、名言、警句、谚语时，即使主句是过去时，从句也用一般现在时.
eg: Our teacher said that January is the first month of the year.
The teacher said that the earth goes around the sun.
He said time is money.
▲Our teacher told us that ___________________________.(光速比声速快)
light travels faster than sound
2. if和whether引导宾语从句时，一般可以换用，但下列情况只用whether. ●①与or not 连用时
eg: I don’t know whether or not she will like the gift.
We didn’t know whether she could come or not.
