They tried many designs, but finally made the smart circle storeroom. A storeroom can store 15 bicycles. Lei Mingcong, 12, the main designer, said he got the idea from his own life. “I found out that our public library has a smart storage machine. 4 Also, I noticed collective clothes hangers (集合式晾衣架) are often found. They hang the most clothes.”

So how does the storeroom work? There is a smart mechanical device (机械装置) at the center of it. 5 “It is all controlled by computer programs. Just like a‘smart home’, the device could work by pressing a button (按动按钮),” said Wang Shunzhi, another designer of the storeroom. Their goal is to give the design to local government in Jan. 2017.
