Simple past tense (一般过去时)：
We use the simple past tense to talk about things in the past.
一、什么情况下使用一般过去时:
我们用一般过去时谈论发生在
过去的事情。
1）表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态。(Indicates an action that occurred at a certain time or state of being in the past)
He was here yesterday.
I got up at six thirty yesterday morning.
My father was at work yesterday afternoon.
Did you have a good time last summer?
2 ）表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。
(Indicates an action that occurred frequently or repeatedly in the past.)
My father often went to work by bus last year.
When I was a child, I often listened to music.
was,went 分别是am ,go 在一般过去时中所用的动词形式, 是get, go 的过去式。
