Dear Diary,
Ms Yue and I joined a volunteer project in December, 2011. We taught Grade 8 students English in Wucheng Middle School in South-west Huai'an.
The school was in a mountain area and was not as big and modern as our school. However, the students were hard-working. They lived far away and walked a long way to school.
We stayed there for a week, so we kept in touch with our family by talking on the phone. We were happy that what we did was helpful and meaningful to the students there.
