与口头通知不同，书面通知有自己比较固定的格式：如通知开头要有标题（通常为Notice ），标题下面是正文，正文通常还有发通知的单位（通常写在右下角）和写发通知的日期（通常写在左下角）
三、注意与口头通知的区别
口头通知一般有开头称呼语（ladies and gentlemen, Boys and girls等），而书面通知通常不用这些开头称呼语；口头通知用来吸引听众注意力的句子（如，May I have your attention, please?//Attention, please, everyone. I have an announcement to make. //Be quiet. There is something important I have to tell you. 等）在书面通知中通常不可以用；口头通知的结束语（That’s all. Thank you very much.）在书面通知中也不常使用。
四、熟记书面通知套语
书面通知与口头通知有很多表达套语不一样，但有一些表达式可以通用的，不过在措辞方面会略正式一些。
口头通知：Please be present on time.
Be sure not to be late.
书面通知： Everyone is required to be
present on time.
五、牢记书面通知时态
与口头通知一样，书面通知也以一般将来时为主。
请按下列要求，用英语为学生会（Students’ Union）写一个举行英语讲演比赛（English-speaking Contest）的书面通知，通知必须包括下面几点：
（1）目的：提高学生的英语口语水平
（2）组织者：校学生会
（3）参加学生：高三学生
（4）报名(sign up)时间与地点：十月二十日以前，学生会办公室
（5）比赛时间与地点：十月三十日晚上七点，学校礼堂（auditorium）五位英语老师将被邀请当评委，前十名优胜者将获奖。

? In order to improve the students’ spoken English, an English-speaking contest (among the students of Senior 3) will be held in the school auditorium at seven o’clock p.m. on October 30th, 2018.
