The Tibetan antelope (藏羚羊)
The antelopes live on the Qinghai- Tibetan Plateau. They look like deer. They are good at running, so they were chosen as one of the mascots for the 2008 Olympic Games, whose name is Yingying. Their wool is soft , light and warm and can be made into shawls. Their life span is at most 8 years.

At the beginning of the 20th century, there were millions of antelopes on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. By the 1990s the number had fallen to about 50,000.
