Lead in

In 1989,at the age of 24, Rowling was traveling to London on a train in Manchester, and a skinny(瘦弱的), bespectacled(带眼镜的) little black haired wizard had been smiling at her outside the window.

He burst into her life and made her think about Harry Potter. Although she had no paper or pen at hand, she began to imagine the story of Harry Porter and pushed the story to the world.

So, Harry Potter was born --- a 10–year-old little boy, small black shaggy hair, bright green eyes, wearing round glasses, a slender lightning like scar on his forehead…

Harry Potter

became a global fairy tale figure.

Harry Potter and?the?Deathly Hallows is?the?seventh and final of?the?Harry Potter novels written by British author J. K. Rowling.

The book was released on 21 July 2007, ending the series that began in 1997.

This book chronicles the events directly following Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2005), and leads to the long-awaited final confrontation between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Now let’s enjoy a short video!

My favorite part of the novel!

The hallway was large, dimly lit, and sumptuously(豪华的) decorated, with a magnificent carpet covering most of the stone floor.

The eyes of the pale-faced portraits(雕像) on the wall followed Snape and Yaxley as they strode past.

The two men halted at a heavy wooden door leading into the next room, hesitated for the space of a heartbeat, then Snape turned the bronze(铜制的) handle.

The drawing room was full of silent people, sitting at a long and ornate table. The room’s usual furniture had been pushed carelessly up against the walls.

Why?should we?read?English?original?novels??

Many?English?words?have?many?different?meanings.

The?Chinese?translation?usually?lacks?the meaning?that?the?author?really?wants?to?express,

and?also?limits?the? imagination?of?the? readers.?

The?description?of?the?environment?seems?to?have?changed?after?translation.?

Only?the?English?original?novels?can?let?the?readers?really understand?the?environment?at?that?time.
