1.Why do people travel?
Because they want to see other countries and visit places that are famous, interesting or beautiful. People also travel to meet new friends, to try to new kinds of food, to experience life in other parts of the world or simply to get away from noise
After giving birth to a baby, most women never think of leaving home and travelling around the world, even with their baby. But Karen Edwards is different.
She and her husband started their trip around the world when their daughter Mary was not yet three months old. The English couple sold their car, took all their money and things in a backpack and started their journey. Since they first set off, the family has visited Ireland, Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, and even HongKong.
Karen, who was a nurse and grew up in Ireland, said everyone thought she was crazy when she talked about her plan. But she thought, “Esme had amazing experiences as she grew.”
Karen set up a blog about her travels called Travel Mad Mum. She shares her personal stories and travelling advice in it. She wants to tell those travel-loving parents: Your travel days do not have to be over.
