我们一般遵循三个基本原则
1. 语法一致原则
2. 意义一致原则
3. 就近一致原则
语法一致原则：
是指主语的中心词与谓语在单复数上保持一致。
1. 以kind, pair, piece等为中心词的短语作主语时，动词与这些中心词在数上保持一致。
eg: This pair of glasses is mine.
Those pairs of trousers are made to measure.
2.主语后有as well as, with, along with, together with, but, except, rather than, besides等引导的短语时，谓语动词依主语的单复数而定。
eg: You, rather than me, are to blame.
The teacher as well as his students are playing basketball now.
3. 非谓语动词、主语从句作主语时，谓语动词一般用单数。
Collecting stamps is what he likes.
When and how to do it is still a problem.
意义一致原则：
指主语和谓语动词的关系取决于主语的单、复数意义。
1. 集体名词class, family, team, population, audience，government 等作主语。强调整体用单数，指个体成员用复数。
His family is a great one.
His family are music lovers.
His family_____(be ) to move to the countryside next month.
His family _____all (be) fond of popular music.
Our school ______(be) a key school in Changsha city.
Our school ______doing (do) morning exercises now on the playground.
