An Introduction of Beijing
Beijing is the capital of China, which is also the political, economical and cultural center of China. It’s located in the north of China and covers an area of 16,000 square kilometers with a population of 20 million. Dating from Zhou dynasty, it is an ancient city with a history of over 3000 years. There is a variety of climate in Beijing and the average temperature of Beijing is about 15℃. What's more, its transportation goes everywhere.
There are many good places worth visiting. The Great Wall attracts millions of visitors from all over the world every year. Other must-sees include Beijing Tiananmen Square, the Monument to the People’s Heroes, National Grand Theater, the Forbidden City, the Summer Place and Temple of Heaven.
Wherever you go, there are plenty of activities to choose from. You can go on the city tours to enjoy the sights, taste the local food and learn about its history and culture. For example, you can enjoy the delicious Beijing Roast Duck , which is famous all over the world. What’s more, you can also go to visit some famous universities such as Peking University and Tsinghua University where you can admire the greatness of them. Furthermore, You can also enjoy Beijing Opera, which dates from(起源于) Qing dynasty in Beijing.
