Read these following sentences
1.单个的v-ed作定语时，一般放在被修饰词之前，而v-ed短语作定语，常放在被修饰的词后面，它的作用相当于一个定语从句。
Most of the people invited to the party (=who were invited to the party) came from our village.
2. 一般来说，及物动词的v-ed含有“完成”或“被动”的意义。
an honored teacher 一位受尊敬的老师
不及物动词的v-ed常表示“完成”的动作，而不表示“被动”意义。
boiled water 开水
fallen leaves 落叶
Those days are passed and gone.
He is dead drunk.
