What’s Predicative?

表语是用来说明主语的性质,身份,特征和状态。表语须和连系动词一起构成句子的复合谓语。表语一般放在系动词之后。表语可以由名词,形容词或动名词和形容词作用的词和短语担任。?

What’s object complement?

宾语补足语是对宾语的补充,使得句子的内容更完整更充足。

英语中有些及物动词,接了宾语意义仍不完整,还需要有一个其他的句子成分,来补充说明宾语的意义、状态等,称为宾语补足语,简称宾补。

Draw conclusions:

A. 过去分词可放在系动词be, get, feel, remain, seem, look, become等之后作表语,表示主语所处的状态。

When I got to the classroom, the door was locked.

B. 过去分词作表语(系表结构)与被动语态的区别

“be+过去分词”表示状态时,是系表结构,其后面通常不加by短语,此时分词通常已形容词化;表示动作时,是被动语态,且被动结构中的动作执行者由介词by引出。

My glasses are broken. 我的眼镜碎了。(系表结构,强调状态)

My glasses were broken by my son. 我的眼镜被我儿子摔碎了。(被动语态,强调动作)

C. 过去分词作宾语补足语表示的语法含义是“被动和完成”。考查主要体现在以下几个方面:

过去分词在have, make, get, keep, leave等使役动词的宾语后面充当宾语补足语。

She raised her voice to make herself heard by all the people in the hall.
