Procedures for teaching
Step1 Lead-in
Tell Ss: It’s very hot and dry today, so I feel uncomfortable and tired. Just now I use two adjectives--hot and dry to describe weather, uncomfortable and tired to describe my feelings. Can you describe the person in the picture by using some adjectives ?

Then tell Ss : today we are going to learn some personality adjectives and how to describe a person by using some personality adjectives.
Step2 Vocabulary learning
First Have Ss read the dialogue on Page 6 to understand how adjectives are used to describe people’ personality.
Second Let Ss read the examples listed in the first table and try to understand the meaning of these adjectives . Then know about the two kinds of personality adjectives-- positive and negative.
Third Have Ss read the second table and make sure they can understand what are synonyms and antonyms by guessing the meaning of the adjectives listed in the table.
Fourth Show Ss two pictures and ask them to use some adjectives to describe the person in the pictures.

Step 3 Pair work
First , have Ss finishing some sentences to review these adjectives.
