本课教学内容是针对单元习作Project: Writing a report 的评价和再学习。上节课中,教师设计了习作任务:写一篇调查报告(内容见素材)。学生习作中出现较多的汉语式英语。学生平时书面表达也常常逐字硬译,不知如何修改和避免汉式英语,因此在本节Self-assessment中集中再学习。本节主要针对选错主语、连续谓语、错误理解词性、分词或不定式的逻辑主语与句子主语不一致、逗号错等五个常见汉式英语进行学习讨论,这几种错误类型都来自本单元学生习作。
Teaching aims:
1. To get the students to understand why we often make Chinglish sentences in our writing.
2. To practise correcting some common types of Chinglish sentences.
3. To make the students aware that English and Chinese sometimes are quite different.

1. What is Chinglish?
Chinglish = Chinese+ English
Chinglish refers to spoken or written English that is influenced by the Chinese language.
2.Do you think native English speakers can understand Chinglish?
Watch a short video about Chinglish and answer the question. (视频见素材)
设计意图:激发兴趣,让学生了解英语母语人士很难理解汉式英语。有时汉式英语让他们觉得滑稽可笑甚至荒谬不堪。
Step2. Why do we often make Chinglish sentences in our writing?
Get the students to observe their own sentences written in this unit and try to correct them.
There are 30% of the students choose to read cartoons in their free time. (choose前加who;或去掉 There are)
② It shows that most students are reading textbooks, only a small number of them enjoy reading literature works. (逗号后用and; 或改为句号再加However,)
③ Why aren’t so many students like to spend some time reading literature books? (aren’t改为 don’t)
④ Some complain that middle school students are difficult to understand literature works. (Some complain that it is difficult for them to understand literature works.)
2. Get the students to observe some other common Chinglish sentences and answer the question: Why do we often make Chinglish sentences in our writing?
