Ask 2 students to make the presentation about the environment with the PPT.

Go over the words and expressions the students mentioned in their presentation.

Translate some sentences in oral using the words and expressions mentioned just now.让学生上台借助PPT展示自己的课前成果作品,既激发了学生学习英语的兴趣又让学生充分地展示了自己;

师生共同回顾与本话题有关的词汇和表达,让学生进一步强化词汇,为后面的辩论和写作环节做好铺垫;

口头翻译可以检测学生能否顺利实现由输入到输出的过程,体现了由词到句,由句到篇的循序渐进的教学规律。

Step = 3 ﹨ ROMAN III : Debate

Introduce the topic of the debate: The government OR the individuals ----- who should take more responsibility of protecting the environment?

Give the students five minutes to discuss in groups and get prepared for the debate.

Emphasize the rules of the debate: 1): The debate has 3 rounds. 2): The pro side and the con side take turns to state the opinion. 3): Each time you have only 30 seconds to state your opinion.

Hold the debate between the pro side and the con side.

Give the students some encouragement and make a summary of the debate.

通过辩论既复习和巩固了所学词汇,又培养了学生用英语表达自己观点的能力,同时也培养了学生的批评性思维;
