Dear Alicia,
I’m very pleased to introduce Mid-autumn Day and my holiday activities to you.
Mid-autumn Day, celebrated on August 15th of the lunar(农历) calendar, is a traditional Chinese festival. All family members, whatever they do or wherever they are, are excited to go home for a family reunion.
Never will I forget this Mid-autumn Day. After cleaning the fallen leaves, all my family were seated around a big table under a tree. We celebrated the festival by chatting happily and enjoying the moon cakes made by ourselves with the bright full moon, which I think is the most exciting moment in the world. After dinner, I made a wish that every person in the world would stay with his family, sharing love from the family forever.
Such was my unforgettable Mid-autumn Day, which I will always treasure and reminds me of the saying “East or west, home is the best”.
