adopt verb-ed forms in their expressions.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead in
Share some news with the students.
Ask students to finish the news according to the pictures.
Step 2 Four functions of the verb-ed form
Present sentences containing the verb-ed form, and asking students to find out what functions it serves in different sentences.
Conclusion: V-ed can serve as attributive, predicative, object complement and adverbial.
Ask students to fill in the blanks which tell different functions of the verb-ed form. Ask them to look at some examples for each and do some relevant practice.
Step 3 Summary
Make a summary of the four functions.
Step 4 Consolidation
Do some multiple choices to consolidate what the students have learnt.
Step 5 Translation
Translate some sentences into English to reemphasize the above rules.
Step 6 Homework
1. Finish the exercise book P 85.
2. Review the usage of verb-ed.
