【设计思路】：本节课结合M5U3单元话题，教师根据学生的阅读水平，选择了与人工智能有关的一篇文章进行延伸阅读。通过对这篇文章的分析理解，在提高学生阅读技巧及赏析文本能力的同时，启发学生思考：面对人工智能的迅猛发展，我们应如何做好准备？
【教学过程】：
Step One: Lead in （Watch a news report about AI）
Predict what results will artificial intelligence bring?
A debatable point: As AI develops, will people lose their jobs?
Step Two: Skimming
Which type of composition is it ? （argumentation）
What should be included in an argumentation?
（a viewpoint that is generally accepted；the author's view；sufficient evidence)
Step Three: Scanning
Read the first two paragraphs and find the viewpoint that is generally accepted.
(As AI develops, thousands of jobs will disappear.)
Why?
(Machines powered by AI can already perform certain “3D” tasks much better than humans.)
How does the writer support this point of view?
(By giving an example of drivers.)
Read paragraphs 3 and 4 and find the author’s view on this issue.
(The waves of destructive innovation create jobs.)
What will happen in the long run according to the writer?
(the loss of low-added-value jobs → good results)
